Recycle Week – QR Code Sculpture
Brief
Recycle Now UK and Radley Yeldar wanted a standout installation for #RecycleWeek that encouraged people to use the recycling locator. The concept had to embody recycling while engaging the public through technology.
Our Approach
We built a huge QR code sculpture using recyclable items such as empty aerosols and perfume bottles. Each element was meticulously arranged to form a scannable code directing users to the recycling-locator website. Hand-painted signage explained the process and urged people to scan the code. The piece combined craft with technology to convey the recycling message.
Impact
The sculpture became an eye-catching centrepiece for #RecycleWeek, sparking conversation about recycling and driving traffic to the locator tool. It demonstrated how physical installations can inspire digital actions.
